Many of you woke up this morning to find a present under the tree in celebration of the Day of the Mother on January 1st. Although Mothers are the center of the day, Fathers also should have some great moments with their children. So what are your plans for the day?
For us, my wife and I already spent time celebrating with my wife’s parents on Monday for her birthday. However, we still plan to do something special together in honor of this special day. We will probably take a nice weekend trip somewhere. I’m not sure exactly where yet. I’ll have to make a few calls to find out which resort is the best for this particular weekend. __
I mentioned my wife and parents, but what about today’s other mother/wife? My mother-in-law, that’s who! She has been like a mom to me since we were married and I consider her to be like my real mother. We also celebrate her birthday on the 1st of January as well, so it works out very well. I plan to take her out for a very special dinner somewhere. I’m not sure where yet. I’ll have to make a few calls to find out which restaurant is the best for tonight’s unexpected date. __

She says she has no plans for today, but we already went through this on her birthday last month. It’s just like her to expect the best and plan for the worst. It’s a very odd way to go through life, but it works for her.

Back to the story, what do you plan on doing for today?
