With summer soon approaching, it can be hard to see slim women that do not resemble our own bodies plastered all over. 

Thankfully, companies and brands are becoming more and more size inclusive, including plus-size clothing in their lines, and designing clothes made to make you feel your best. 

Here are five plus size bikini models that will inspire you to own your body during bikini season!

1. Remi Bader

With social media being more present than ever in our daily lives, Remi Bader has found a way to make it to the top by mastering the new app TikTok.

Bader has started the trend “realistic hauls” where she orders a bunch of bikinis from a brand and tries them on for her viewers. 

Whether they fit or not, the curve model showcases them, helping her TikTok fans realize most companies’ sizing charts differ entirely from one another.

2. Denise Bidot

Denise is another incredibly inspiring plus size bikini model in the industry right now. She often models with her daughter, even walking down the New York Fashion Week runaway with her.

She also participated in the “Beach Body, Not Sorry” campaign by Swimsuits For All in 2015. A campaign where all the models’ swimwear photos were untouched.

3. Paloma Elsesser

Named model of the year in 2020, Paloma Elsesser is a plus-size model that has been making waves in the fashion industry. The model has cumulated partnerships ranging from high-fashion brands to small swimsuit companies. 

Elsesser has also been a strong advocate for racial inclusivity in the fashion industry, as she is of Black and Chilean origin. 

4. Ashley Graham

Ashley Graham has forever been one of the most renowned models in the plus-size fashion industry. She was the first size 16 model to be featured on the cover of Swimsuit Illustrated in 2016 and the first plus size model to appear on the magazine cover of Vogue the next year. 

Graham has also had a TEDTalk advocating for body positivity and self-acceptance. She also makes a point of showing the traditionally “less attractive” sides of our bodies on Instagram.

Showing off her cellulite and stomach on the social media platform on multiple occasions, stating, “I’ve used my body as a tool to talk about taboo subjects, such as cellulite or being insecure about lower belly fat.”

5. Camille Kostek

Camille Kostek has been very inspiring in recent months, launching her very own body-positive brand of swimsuits. Kostek has designed the swimsuits herself, making sure they were all size-inclusive and suited for curvier bodies.

Camille Kostek is one of the most well-known plus size bikini models, being featured in Sports Illustrated multiple times, even making the cover in 2019. 

Camille and Swimsuits For All will donate 10% of the profits from the sale of the collection to non-profit organization Movemeant Foundation, which teaches women and girls that fitness is essential to unlocking the values of self-confidence and balance. 

The fashion industry is definitely changing, and brands are working on making inclusive clothes that make you feel and look your best, whether that be in your bikini or your work outfit.
